I finally had the chance to purchase the Fenix TK72R so I couldn’t pass it up! Just something about the quality and of course the 9,000 lumen output, I had to have it! The beam is very floody. The TK72R is a beast! Lights up everything you want and more! I live in town so I cant use turbo because neighbors start complaining.
The TK72R uses 3 Cree XHP 70 LEDs to reach that max output of 9000 lumens. The output is adjustable from 100 lm to 9000 lm. It can be adjusted by 100 lm increments or 1000 lm increments. The OLED screen is probably the coolest features of this light to me. It shows you the runtime, the lumen output and the battery percentage. When you change your output it will update the runtime according to the output. When the light is off a quick press of the turbo button gives you the battery percentage. This is an amazing light!
It has 3 buttons. +, – and my favorite a turbo button! To turn on the light, Hold down the turbo button, the output will be memorized from what you last used. Also hold down the + or – button to turn on. Turning on with – button gives you 200 lm while turning on with + button gives you 5000 lm. It’s a great feature that I find myself using often. When the light is on you can press the turbo button at anytime to give you an instant 9000 lm. It also has strobe and an electronic lockout feature. Of course you always have the manual lockout by unscrewing the tail cap.
The TK72R comes with a 7.2V/7000mAh Li-ion battery, of course run times depend on what output you are using. Ranging from 50hrs to 50min. The light is IP68 rated, waterproof down to 2 meters and is dust proof.
It has Mirco USB charging port and a USB discharging port which are also internally waterproofed.
The TK72R also comes with a lanyard, a sturdy holster, two spare O-rings, USB charging cable and adaptor. It’s built like a small tank! Easy to carry, not too big:

My conclusion is that this light will not disappoint you. Build quality is top notch. It’s a show piece and a work horse.
